LOCAL RECORDING FACILITIES
Already well established at the forefront of Location Recording Facilities, the Doyen Mobile continues to expand its range both musically and geographically!
Not only undertaking projects throughout the UK as far north as Livingston in Scotland to St. Keverne in the south of England, the Mobile and the Doyen Team have also travelled overseas to Norway, Ireland and to Amboise in France to record the French Open Brass Band Championships.
Doyen is the leading recording company for many projects. During July 1999 the Doyen Team recorded the sound track for the hit BBC series "Ground Force" (over 8 million viewers every week!) In addition, we also engineered some of the sound track for the most successful UK box office hit, "The Full Monty", and more recently provided the music for the closing ceremony at the Commonwealth Games 2002.
To date the Doyen Mobile has recorded over 140 Compact Discs for the Doyen Label as well as being an important Broadcast Facility regularly used in 300 programmes for National Radio Two's ever popular "Listen to the Band". Doyen has recorded many prestigious events these include:
Recording the National Gala Concert held at the Royal Albert Hall
Gala Concert at Lillehammer, Norway for broadcast on National Radio Two
Carols by Candlelight from York Minster for Broadcast on National Radio Two
National Youth Wind Orchestra and National Youth Brass Band.
The Mobile has also been utilised by Radio 3 to record the Early Music Festival in York and Live Concert Broadcasts direct via the satellite. All agree that the new on-board editing suite by SADiE is a great facility.
We also engineer, produce, edit and master CD recordings. Recent projects include the best selling disc "The Messiah" by the Black Dyke Band and Halifax Choral Society, Northern Chamber Orchestra, Bach's B minor Mass for Naxos to name but a few.
